The most useful thing to bring to a plant sale may be a note about your yard. Smith-Gilbert Gardens’ Fall Tree and Shrub Sale is scheduled for Saturday, October 24, 2026, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at 2382 Pine Mountain Road in Kennesaw.
The organizer lists native, ornamental and fruiting trees and shrubs, along with perennials, grasses, vines and beginner bonsai. Members receive early access at 9 a.m.; public shopping begins at 10. Volunteers are expected to help load wagons and vehicles, and proceeds support the gardens’ exhibits and educational work.

Before arriving, write down the light, approximate space and soil moisture where a plant would go. A photograph of the spot can help frame a specific question about mature size and care. A tempting label is easier to evaluate when there is already a place in mind.
Check the official event page for updates and the current plant list. Listed varieties are not a promise that every item will remain available throughout the sale. Confirm shopping and garden-entry arrangements directly if you also plan to tour the grounds, and bring a practical way to transport what you buy.
