A university art museum can be easy to overlook if you are not a student. Kennesaw State University describes the Bernard A. Zuckerman Museum of Art as a cultural resource for the wider community as well as its campus, with free admission.
The museum presents work from the university’s collection and contemporary exhibitions in different media. Its address is 492 Prillaman Way in Kennesaw. Current regular hours are Tuesday through Friday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Saturday, noon to 5 p.m.

Check the current exhibition dates before setting out. The museum closes during installation periods and university breaks and holidays unless otherwise announced. The Fine Arts Gallery in the Wilson Building is a separate location with its own arrangements, so choose the destination rather than assuming both galleries share one entrance and schedule.
For a first visit, allow time to look slowly at one work before reading the label, then return to it afterward. Notice what the extra context changes. Consult the museum’s current directions for visitor parking, and contact staff ahead of time for a group tour or an access question. The point is to make a nearby cultural resource easy to use.
